Building blocks for docs pages

How pages work

Every docs page is a normal WordPress page under Docs, built with Elementor widgets. The sidebar, top bar and “On this page” come from the Theme Builder templates Hexta Docs Header and Hexta Docs Page, so you only add content.

  1. Create a page and set its parent to Documentation.
  2. Fill in the Excerpt; it shows under the title.
  3. Build the content with the widgets below. Give each Heading an anchor ID in Advanced so it can be linked.
  4. Add the page to the Docs Sidebar menu in Appearance > Menus.

Section label

The small purple label above the title comes from the page custom field dx_section (Screen Options > Custom Fields in the page editor).

Callouts

A Text Editor widget with the CSS class dx-callout.

Cards

A Container with the class dx-cards holding Icon Box widgets with the class dx-card.

Card title

Linked card

Set a link in the Icon Box to make it clickable.

Code

Use the Code Highlight widget with the class dx-code.
